Local Wellness Policy Assessment Comparison Tool
Local Wellness Policy Assessment Comparison with a Model Policy Tool
The assessment comparison tool breaks down a school district's written wellness policy into distinct, categorical sections (such as nutrition education, physical activity, and food marketing) and allows districts to compare their language side-by-side with recognized model policies. The Local Wellness Policy Final Rule requires LEAs to assess the extent to which their district Local Wellness Policy aligns with model policies at least once every three years.
Below are the results of the assessment for 2026. Students, parents, teachers, administrators, and the Flagstaff community are invited to review these results. If you would like to attend a District Wellness Committee meeting, please contact Steve Rhode at (928) 527-6010 or at srhode@fusd1.org.
