Coming fall 2027! New Pre-K to 5th grade campus on new undeveloped land. Including road work and roundabout, emergency access road, on site parent and bus drop off lane. The interior will feature modern classrooms, bathrooms, a kitchen, a gymnasium, special rooms, a library, a welcoming front office, and versatile support spaces.

 

Construction Updates

Construction continues to progress on the new Kinsey Inquiry and Discovery School! CORE Construction has shared the following updates on completed work and upcoming milestones.

Recent Construction Progress:

  • Access Road: Paving is complete on the access road west of the school, connecting to the Camile neighborhood.

  • Roofing: Approximately 70% of the building's roof is complete.

  • Windows: Windows and glass have been installed on half of the building, including the large windows in the media center.

  • Painting: Approximately half of the building has been painted.

  • Interior Work: Framing and initial mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations are complete in half of the building.

Upcoming Construction Milestones:

  • Drywall: Installation is expected to begin within the next week.

  • Parking Lot: Curb installation is anticipated to begin within the next week, weather permitting, followed by parking lot paving.

  • Roundabout Utilities: Overhead power and communication lines near the roundabout are being lowered this week and next, allowing crews to complete grading and begin the waterline connection.

  • Roundabout Construction: Crews hope to begin pouring curbs for the roundabout before the end of October.

The new Kinsey Inquiry and Discovery School remains on track for its planned opening in fall 2027. We look forward to sharing more updates as construction progresses!
